Winter Viburnum 'Gwenllian'
Viburnum tinus 'Gwenllian' is a superb evergreen shrub highly valued for its continuous display of delicate pink-budded white flowers throughout the autumn and winter months in the UK. Growing to a height and spread of 2-3 metres, it forms a dense, bushy plant with attractive, dark green, leathery leaves. The flowers are followed by metallic blue-black berries, adding further interest. 'Gwenllian' is particularly notable for its extended flowering period, providing much-needed colour and structure when little else is in bloom. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained, fertile soil. It is relatively hardy but benefits from a sheltered position in colder regions.
