Comb speedwell

'Rosea' is a lovely and tough speedwell that forms a prostrate, spreading mat of grey-green, deeply toothed (comb-like) foliage. In late spring and early summer, it is covered with a profusion of small, bright rose-pink flowers with tiny white eyes. It is an excellent choice for a rock garden, as a groundcover on a sunny bank, or for trailing over the edge of a large container. It is fully hardy (H5) and remarkably drought-tolerant once established, thanks to its slightly furry, greyish leaves which help it retain moisture. It thrives in full sun and any well-drained soil. Unlike some of the flatter veronicas, 'Rosea' has a slightly more textured and mounded habit, and its silver-tinted leaves provide interest even when the plant is not in flower. It is a low-maintenance and reliable performer that adds a soft, colourful touch to the alpine garden throughout the year.碎,flowering_months:[
