Lingonberry 'Koralle'
Lingonberry 'Koralle' is a compact, evergreen shrub producing attractive dark red, tart berries, often described as having a cranberry-like flavour. The berries are excellent for sauces, jams, and juices. This low-growing, spreading plant forms an attractive groundcover, making it a good choice for front of borders or rockeries. It also has pretty bell-shaped white to pink flowers in spring and glossy dark green leaves year-round. 'Koralle' is self-fertile and very hardy. Flowers appear in May-June, with berries ripening in two flushes, one in late summer and an autumn crop. It absolutely requires acidic, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
