Weeping Hemlock 'Pendula'
An elegant, slow-growing conifer with a distinctive broadly spreading, weeping habit. The branches arch and cascade downwards, forming a graceful mound or even a ground-hugging specimen if unsupported. It typically reaches an ultimate height of 2-3 metres with a spread of 3-5 metres, though its form can vary significantly. The short, soft, dark green needles provide fine texture. It prefers moist, well-drained, acidic soil and thrives in partial shade, though it can tolerate full sun with adequate moisture. Hardy to H6, it is an excellent specimen for rock gardens, alongside water, or as a unique focal point, offering year-round beauty and shelter.
