Dwarf Eastern Hemlock 'Coles Prostrate'

Tsuga canadensis 'Cole's Prostrate' is a superb prostrate dwarf conifer, forming a dense, spreading mound or mat of delicate dark green needles. This slow-growing cultivar is ideal for rockeries, cascading over walls, or as ground cover in shaded areas, typically reaching only 30-50 cm in height with a spread of 1-1.5 metres. It is hardy (H6) and thrives in partial to full shade and consistently moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Its elegant, flowing habit provides excellent year-round texture and a graceful, calming presence. Suited for woodland gardens or shady borders, it offers a refined evergreen solution for difficult shady spots.
