Tiger Flower 'Alba'

Tigridia pavonia 'Alba', known as the Tiger Flower, is a captivating tuberous perennial that brings an exotic flair to UK gardens. This particular cultivar produces stunning pure white, cup-shaped flowers, each marked with intricate red spotting in the centre, creating a dramatic contrast. Although individual flowers last only a day, the plant produces a continuous succession of blooms over several weeks in mid to late summer. They thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, making them ideal for sunny borders, containers, or gravel gardens. In colder regions, tubers should be lifted and stored over winter. Their unique appearance makes them a fantastic conversation starter and a highlight in any summer display, adding a touch of the unusual.
