Creeping Thyme 'Minor'

Thymus serpyllum 'Minor' is a delightful, low-growing creeper perfect for rock gardens, path edgings, or filling crevices in paving for UK gardens. This diminutive cultivar forms incredibly tight, dense mats of tiny, aromatic, dark green leaves that release a pleasant fragrance when trodden upon. In summer, it produces a profusion of tiny, pale pink to lilac flowers, attracting bees and other pollinators. 'Minor' is exceptionally hardy (H6) and thrives in full sun and very well-drained, even poor, soil – it will not tolerate waterlogging. Its compact habit makes it an excellent weed suppressor in suitable locations and provides textural contrast to larger plants. It's a truly charming and resilient ground cover that adds character and scent to any sunny, dry spot.
