Wild Thyme 'Bressingham Pink'
A magnificent British-bred variety, 'Bressingham Pink' is one of the showiest of the creeping thymes. It forms an incredibly dense, low-growing mat of tiny, dark green aromatic leaves that turn slightly bronze in the winter months. In early summer, the foliage is almost completely obscured by a carpet of vibrant, deep pink flowers, creating a stunning visual effect. It is a perfect choice for planting in the cracks between paving stones, in a rockery, or as a softening edge for a sunny path. Fully hardy (H5) and resilient, it can even withstand a small amount of foot traffic. It is remarkably drought-tolerant once it has established its root system. Like all thymes, it demands a sunny spot and soil that never sits waterlogged. Clipping it back after the flowers have faded will encourage new, tight growth and keep the mat looking tidy.
Sun: Full sun.
Soil: Well-drained, poor to moderately fertile soil.
Hardiness: H5 — down to −15°C.
