Golden Western Red Cedar 'Golden Smaragd'

A vigorous and shapely conifer, celebrated for its rich, golden-yellow scale-like foliage that holds its colour well throughout the year. 'Golden Smaragd' forms a dense, narrowly conical tree, similar in habit to 'Smaragd' but with vibrant golden colouring. It can reach an ultimate height of 4-6 metres with a spread of 1.5-2.5 metres, making it ideal for specimen planting, hedging, or screening where a brighter colour is desired. Extremely hardy (H7), it prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soil. Provides year-round colour and excellent structure.
