Rock Pennycress

A charming native British alpine, Thlaspi caerulescens forms small rosettes of glaucous leaves, producing airy sprays of delicate white flowers, sometimes tinged with lilac, in early spring. It typically grows to 10-15cm in height and spreads gently. Best suited for naturalising in rock gardens or scree, it thrives in full sun and very well-drained, gritty, alkaline soil. Its understated beauty and early flowering make it a valuable plant for small alpine schemes.
