Hicks Yew 'Hicksii'
Taxus × media 'Hicksii' is a popular and versatile hybrid yew, excellent for formal hedges, screens, or as an upright specimen. It forms a dense, columnar to broadly columnar habit, eventually reaching an ultimate height of 4-6 metres with a spread of 2-3 metres. Its dark green needles are arranged in attractive sprays. This cultivar is very hardy (H7) and adaptable, thriving in most well-drained soils, from acidic to alkaline, and tolerating a wide range of light, from full sun to deep shade.
