Goldenrod 'Goldenmosa'

Solidago 'Goldenmosa' is a vibrant and cheerful perennial that provides a late-summer burst of sunshine to UK garden borders. Unlike some of the wilder goldenrod species, this cultivar is well-behaved and clump-forming, making it a more suitable choice for the garden. It features large, frothy plumes of tiny, bright golden-yellow flowers that appear in late summer and autumn, held on sturdy stems above attractive, yellowish-green foliage. The textured leaves add a different dimension to the perennial border even before the flowers emerge. It is a very hardy plant that is exceptionally easy to grow, thriving in full sun and almost any well-drained soil. It is particularly valued for its ability to attract butterflies and bees at a time when other nectar sources may be becoming scarce. 'Goldenmosa' is an excellent companion for blue or purple late-flowering perennials like asters or salvias, and its bright blooms make long-lasting cut flowers for late-season arrangements.
