Tomato 'Tigerella'

'Tigerella' is a distinctive and highly ornamental tomato cultivar, producing medium-sized, round fruits with striking red and orange-yellow stripes. The flavour is tangy and rich, making it excellent for slicing and salads. It is a cordon (indeterminate) variety, growing up to 2m, requiring staking and regular side-shooting. As an H1C hardy plant, it performs best in a greenhouse or a very sheltered, sunny spot outdoors in the UK. It prefers rich, well-drained soil and consistent watering and feeding. 'Tigerella' is a reliable cropper and an attractive addition to the vegetable patch, often ripening earlier than some beefsteak varieties. The unusual appearance of the fruit makes it a talking point.
