Common Houseleek 'Commander Hay'
'Commander Hay' is an eye-catching houseleek, forming compact rosettes of fleshy leaves that develop intense reddish-purple tips, especially in bright sun. The rosettes are typically 5-8cm across, slowly producing offsets to form attractive clumps. Pinkish-red, star-shaped flowers may appear on short stems in summer (15-20cm). Fully hardy (H7), it demands full sun and extremely well-drained, gritty soil, making it ideal for rockeries, troughs, or green roofs. An RHS AGM holder.
