Engler's Stonecrop

This delightful Japanese sedum forms neat rosettes of blue-green, succulent leaves that develop attractive reddish tints in full sun. In late summer and autumn, it produces clusters of starry, bright pink flowers, providing late-season colour. Growing to 10-15cm high and 20-30cm wide, it's perfect for rock gardens, dry walls, or containers. Hardy (H7), it needs full sun and very well-drained, gritty soil. The flowers are a magnet for bees and butterflies.

Sun: Full sun.

Soil: Very well-drained, gritty.

Hardiness: H7 — below −20°C.
