This charming dwarf running bamboo is noted for its glossy, dark green leaves that provide excellent groundcover. It forms a dense, spreading carpet, typically reaching 60-90cm in height with an indefinite spread. It is fully hardy in the UK (H5) and a reliable choice for brightening shady areas or underplanting. It thrives in partial shade to full shade and consistently moist, well-drained soil. While running, its shallow roots are relatively easy to manage.
