Khasia Bamboo 'Pleioblastoides'

Sasa tsuboiana 'Pleioblastoides' is a robust, running bamboo with large, glossy, dark green leaves that give it a lush, exotic appearance in UK gardens. This particular form can be more vigorous, so a root barrier is highly recommended to control its spread. It forms a dense, upright clump of slender canes, creating an effective screen or groundcover in larger areas. The leaves are persistent even in cold weather, providing excellent evergreen interest. It is particularly tolerant of shade and thrives in moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soil. It is a good choice for underplanting trees or creating a verdant backdrop in shadier garden spots.
