Arrowhead 'Lanceolifolia'
Sagittaria lancifolia, often known as Lance-leaf Arrowhead, is a distinctive marginal aquatic perennial. It features striking, upright, lance-shaped leaves, broader than the typical arrowhead, providing a strong vertical accent to pond margins. From summer into early autumn, it produces tall flower stalks bearing whorls of attractive, three-petalled white flowers with yellow centres. This vigorous plant thrives in shallow water (up to 30cm deep) or boggy ground in full sun. Reaching an ultimate height of 60-120cm with a spread of 30-50cm, it creates an impressive display. It's excellent for naturalising in larger ponds and offers valuable cover and food for aquatic wildlife. Hardy and easy to grow.
