Tayberry 'Buckingham'

Tayberry 'Buckingham' is a fantastic thornless hybrid berry, combining the best qualities of raspberries and blackberries. It produces very large, elongated, reddish-purple fruits with a beautifully sweet, aromatic flavour. Being thornless makes harvesting a pleasure. This vigorous, semi-erect cane fruit is self-fertile and very hardy, performing well across the UK. It is ideal for training against a wall, fence, or on wires. While fairly robust, a sheltered position can help protect the ripening fruit. White flowers appear in May-June, followed by an abundant crop ripening from late July to August. It prefers full sun and well-drained, fertile soil.
