Blackberry 'Lochness'

'Lochness' is an excellent thornless blackberry variety, making harvesting a much more pleasant experience for UK gardeners. It produces heavy and reliable crops of large, firm, glossy black berries with a good, sweet flavour, ripening from late July through to September. This vigorous, semi-erect cane requires support but is easy to manage and provides a continuous supply of delicious fruit. It is well-suited to various situations, including training against walls or fences. 'Lochness' is self-fertile and thrives in full sun in well-drained, fertile soil. Its disease resistance contributes to its ease of cultivation.
