Rose 'The Endeavour'
'The Endeavour' is a modern shrub rose with flowers that exhibit a complex and fascinating blend of colours, ranging from salmon-pink to apricot and ochre, often with a yellow reverse to the petals. The fragrance is equally complex, described as a mix of fruit and tea. It has a healthy, bushy habit and reaches about 1.2 metres in height, making it a versatile addition to mixed borders or rose beds. This rose is noted for its ability to produce flowers continuously from early summer through to late autumn. It is quite hardy (H6) and demonstrates good disease resistance in the UK climate. The foliage is mid-green and slightly glossy. Named to commemorate Captain Cook's voyage, it is a robust and adventurous rose that creates a warm, glowing effect in the garden. It prefers a position in full sun and, like most roses, thrives on regular feeding and a good mulch in the spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
