Rose 'Silas Marner'

'Silas Marner' is a charming English Shrub Rose introduced by David Austin, known for its unfussy, relaxed growth habit and exceptional health. This variety produces medium-sized, cupped blooms of soft mid-pink, with the petals having a paler pink underside. The fragrance is a pleasant Old Rose scent with hints of fruity notes. It is a very hardy plant (H7), making it suitable for even the more exposed northern gardens in the UK. This rose forms a tidy, rounded shrub typically reaching about 1m in height and width. It is particularly valued for its ability to repeat flower reliably throughout the summer and autumn. The dark green, glossy foliage provides an excellent backdrop for the delicate pink flowers. Best suited to mixed borders or as a low hedge, it prefers a position in full sun but can tolerate very light shade. It grows well in most fertile, well-drained soils, provided it is fed regularly during the growing season.
