Rose 'Scarborough Fair'

A very dainty and charming English Shrub Rose, 'Scarborough Fair' produces small, semi-double, cup-shaped flowers of a soft, blush pink. The flowers open to reveal a cluster of golden stamens and are held in large, airy sprays. It has a light and pleasant Old Rose fragrance. The shrub itself is relatively small and bushy, reaching about 90cm in height and spread, with a gracefully arching habit. This makes it an excellent choice for smaller gardens or the front of a border. It is remarkably healthy and is almost constantly in flower from June until the first frosts. In the UK, it is appreciated for its 'wild rose' look, similar to a species rose but with the benefits of modern repeat-flowering and disease resistance. It is fully hardy and will grow well in most soil types. Its delicate appearance belies its tough nature, making it a reliable and low-maintenance addition to any garden scheme.
