Rose 'Lady of Megginch'

This English Shrub Rose is notable for its large, deeply cupped flowers of a rich, glowing cerise-pink, which gradually take on a hint of orange as they age. The fragrance is strong and fruity with a touch of raspberry. It forms a vigorous, bushy shrub that is slightly taller than average, reaching around 1.2m to 1.5m. The foliage is a dark, matte green and is exceptionally healthy. In UK gardens, it is a reliable and prolific repeat-bloomer. It is particularly effective when planted at the back of a border where its large, brightly coloured flowers can be seen from a distance. It is fully hardy and can tolerate a wide range of soil types, provided they are not waterlogged. Its robustness and the sheer size and intensity of its blooms make it a favourite for those who want a high-impact rose. Like all David Austin roses, it benefits from a dedicated rose fertilizer in spring and early summer.
