Rose 'Elizabeth'
Named to mark the Platinum Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, this English Shrub Rose is a variety of great beauty and grace. It produces large, almond-blossom pink flowers that fade to a delicate blush white. The blooms are held in small clusters and have a refreshing sweet-apple fragrance with hints of Old Rose. It is a particularly vigorous and healthy shrub, forming a shapely, upright bush about 1.4m tall. The foliage is a mid-green with a slight sheen. It is a repeat-flowering variety that provides a long season of interest in the UK garden. Its toughness and disease resistance make it a good choice for both experienced and novice gardeners. It can be grown at the back of a border or even as a flowering hedge. For the best display, it appreciates a sunny site and soil that has been enriched with compost. It is fully hardy and adapts well to various soil types across the UK.
