Rose 'Chinatown'
'Chinatown' is a versatile and vigorous rose that can be grown as either a large Floribunda shrub or a short climber. It is highly regarded in the UK for its large, double, bright yellow flowers which are often edged with a flush of pink. The blooms are heavily scented and appear in large clusters against a backdrop of exceptionally healthy, leathery, dark green foliage. Reaching a height of up to 1.5m to 2.4m if trained, it is a robust choice for the back of a border or for covering a low wall or fence. It is fully hardy (H7) and remarkably resistant to disease and poor soil conditions, making it a good choice for less experienced gardeners. 'Chinatown' is known for its incredible repeat-flowering capabilities, often providing color until the first heavy frosts of winter. It thrives in full sun but is one of the more shade-tolerant yellow roses, making it useful for north-facing aspects in some gardens.
