Rose 'Blue for You'

'Blue for You' is one of the nearest to 'blue' roses available to British gardeners, though its colour is more accurately described as a stunning lilac-mauve that fades to slate-blue. This Floribunda rose produces clusters of semi-double blooms with a pale white centre and prominent stamens, which are very attractive to pollinators. The fragrance is exceptional—intense, sweet, and spicy. It is a compact shrub, typically reaching 80cm in height, making it perfect for smaller gardens or for growing in containers on a patio. It is very hardy (H7) and has excellent disease resistance, staying healthy even in damp UK summers. The flowers are produced in abundance throughout the season. For the best colour development, it is often recommended to plant it where it receives some afternoon shade, as the most intense blue tones are protected from bleaching in strong direct sunlight. It is a truly unique addition to any garden colour scheme, pairing beautifully with silver-foliaged plants.

Sun: Full sun to partial shade.

Soil: Any well-drained, fertile soil.
