Rosa 'Ballade'

'Ballade' is a charming and versatile Shrub/Groundcover rose that is increasingly popular for its low-maintenance nature and prolific flowering. It produces dense clusters of delicate, light pink, cup-shaped flowers that have a soft, romantic appearance. The plant has a spreading but compact habit, rarely exceeding 60-70cm in height, which makes it perfect for edging pathways, filling gaps in borders, or even for mass planting on embankments. The foliage is exceptionally healthy, with a bright green, glossy finish that remains attractive throughout the season. In the UK, it is appreciated for its ability to withstand wet weather without the blooms "balling" and turning brown. The scent is light and subtle, but the sheer quantity of flowers more than compensates. It is a tough, hardy variety that thrives in full sun but can tolerate smaller amounts of shade than many other roses. It is an RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.
