Whitecurrant 'White Grape'

Whitecurrant 'White Grape' is a popular and reliable variety, producing long strings of translucent, pale yellow to white currants with a deliciously sweet and slightly tart flavour. Being less acidic than redcurrants, they are excellent for eating fresh, as well as for making elegant jellies, tarts, and garnishes. This deciduous shrub has an upright, branching habit and is easy to grow, making it suitable for a range of garden sizes and even container growing. It is self-fertile and very hardy. Inconspicuous greenish flowers appear in April, followed by fruit ripening in July. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil.
