Redcurrant 'Rovada'
'Rovada' is an outstanding late-season redcurrant variety, highly regarded for its exceptionally long strigs of large, glossy red berries with an excellent, tangy flavour. It produces a very heavy crop, ripening from late July to August, extending the redcurrant season significantly. The fruits are perfect for eating fresh, making jellies, tarts, and sauces. This vigorous and upright bush is generally easy to grow and provides attractive foliage throughout the growing season. 'Rovada' is self-fertile and thrives in full sun to partial shade in well-drained, fertile soil. Minimal pruning is required to maintain an open shape.
