Whitecurrant 'Blanka'
'Blanka' is an excellent whitecurrant cultivar, prized for its very heavy yields of long trusses laden with large, translucent, pale yellow berries. These berries have a delicate, sweet flavour with less tartness than redcurrants, making them delightful for fresh eating, desserts, or adding colour to preserves. This self-fertile bush is vigorous and upright, relatively easy to grow, and adds ornamental value with its bright green foliage. The fruits typically ripen from mid-July to August. 'Blanka' prefers a position in full sun to partial shade with well-drained, moisture-retentive, fertile soil.
