Azalea 'Occidentalis'

A beautiful deciduous azalea known for its glorious display of vibrant flowers in mid-spring. 'Occidentalis' is a particularly fragrant variety, producing large trusses of funnel-shaped flowers ranging from creamy white to pale yellow, often flushed with pink or orange, and bearing a distinctive yellow flare. It forms an upright, bushy shrub, typically reaching 1.5-2.5 metres in height and spread. Hardy (H5), it requires acidic, humus-rich, well-drained soil and partial shade to protect its blooms and foliage from scorching.
