Coral Cactus
Rhipsalis cereuscula, often called Coral Cactus, is an epiphytic succulent with a wonderfully unique, bushy, trailing habit. Its stems are composed of numerous small, bead-like segments that cascade elegantly, making it perfect for hanging baskets in a UK conservatory or as an interesting houseplant. In spring, it produces small, white, bell-shaped flowers on its segments, sometimes followed by tiny white fruits. Unlike many succulents, it prefers partial shade and more humidity, mimicking its jungle origins. It requires a free-draining but moisture-retentive substrate. A charming, soft-textured plant for indirect light.
Sun: Partial shade.
Soil: Well-drained, humus-rich potting mix.
