Rhubarb 'Timperley Early'
Rheum x hybridum 'Timperley Early' is a highly valued and popular early-forcing rhubarb cultivar, known for producing its first tender, pink-red stalks very early in the season, often from March onwards. This robust perennial forms a substantial clump, reaching a height and spread of 90cm-1.2 metres. It is fully hardy and thrives in full sun with rich, deeply cultivated, well-drained soil. Once established, it provides reliable harvests for many years. Always harvest stalks by pulling, not cutting, and avoid harvesting in the first year after planting to allow the crown to establish. RHS hardiness rating H7.
