Daikon Radish 'Summer Cross'

Daikon Radish 'Summer Cross' is a superb Japanese variety, producing long, slender, white roots with a crisp texture and milder flavour than common radishes. It's ideal for Asian cuisine and pickling. This fast-growing annual reaches an ultimate height of 40cm and spread of 15cm. Sow in spring or late summer for harvests in summer or autumn. It requires full sun and deep, loose, well-drained soil to form long roots. The small white flowers, if allowed to bolt, attract pollinators. 'Summer Cross' is known for its reliability and excellent quality, a great addition to the adventurous gardener's plot.
