Pyracantha 'Red Column'

A superb evergreen shrub, 'Red Column' is a vigorous and robust pyracantha, valued for its dense, thorny nature and spectacular autumn and winter display of bright red berries that literally smother the branches. In late spring, it produces clusters of small white flowers that are attractive to pollinators. It has an upright, columnar habit and can be trained against a wall or used as an impenetrable hedge, offering excellent security and year-round interest. It is highly disease resistant, thriving in full sun to partial shade and most well-drained soils. Birds love the berries!
