Sweet Pea Shrub

An evergreen shrub that can be trained as a wall climber in sheltered, mild areas of the UK. It can reach 3-5m in height and spread. Half-hardy (H3), it needs full sun and a very sheltered south or west-facing wall. In late winter and early spring, it produces masses of sweetly scented, pea-like lilac-pink flowers. Requires well-drained soil. A beautiful, early-flowering plant for coastal or urban gardens in the south, offering an abundance of blossom and fragrance when little else is in flower.
