Dwarf White-Striped Bamboo 'Elegantissimus'

'Elegantissimus' is a charming dwarf running bamboo, valued for its delicate, narrow leaves that are beautifully variegated with creamy-white stripes. It forms a dense, spreading groundcover, typically reaching 60-90cm in height with an indefinite spread. This hardy bamboo (H5) is excellent for brightening shady borders, mass planting, or as a container plant. It performs best in partial shade to full shade to prevent scorching of its delicate variegation, and prefers moist, well-drained soil. A root barrier or regular maintenance is advised to control its spread. It adds a luminous quality and fine texture to the garden floor.
