Pea 'Mangetout Dwarf Sugar Snap'

'Mangetout Dwarf Sugar Snap' is a compact and productive mangetout pea cultivar, ideal for smaller gardens or containers. It produces plump, sweet, edible pods that are delicious eaten whole, raw or lightly steamed. The plants are bushy and typically grow to 60-90cm tall, requiring some support, with a spread of 30-45cm. This pea is H6 hardy and can be sown from spring onwards for a continuous harvest. It prefers full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. The flowers are attractive to bees, aiding pollination. Regular picking encourages more pods. This variety offers the best of both mangetout and snap pea types, combining the sweetness with tender crunch. An easy-to-grow, rewarding crop for all gardeners.
