Dwarf Scotch Pine 'Bennet's Compact' 'Bennets Compact'

'Bennet's Compact' is a desirable dwarf cultivar of the Scotch Pine, forming a very dense, broadly conical to rounded shrub, eventually reaching an ultimate height of 1.5-2 metres with a similar spread. Its short, stiff, twisted blue-green needles are held tightly, giving it a neat, compact appearance. The characteristic orange-brown flaky bark on older stems adds winter interest. Extremely hardy (H7), it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating poor and exposed conditions. An excellent choice for rock gardens, containers, or smaller borders where a robust, low-maintenance evergreen is desired, providing year-round texture and resilience. It is a relatively rare but excellent form.

Sun: Full sun.

Soil: Well-drained, adaptable to poor soils.

Hardiness: H7 — below −20°C.
