Shore Pine
A hardy and adaptable pine, forming a picturesque, often irregular or windswept crown, particularly in exposed coastal locations. It has stiff, twisted, dark green needles borne in pairs. Ultimate height can vary greatly from 5-15 metres, with a spread of 3-8 metres, depending on conditions. Extremely tolerant of harsh coastal conditions, strong winds, and poor, sandy, waterlogged soils. Prefers full sun. An excellent choice for challenging sites, coastal gardens, or informal planting where its rugged character is appreciated.
