Golden Oriental Spruce 'Aureospicata'

A magnificent, slow-growing conifer, highly prized for its stunning golden-yellow new growth that emerges in spring, gradually maturing to green while retaining golden highlights. 'Aureospicata' forms a dense, broadly conical tree, reaching an ultimate height of 10-15 metres with a spread of 4-6 metres. The very short, glossy green needles provide a fine texture. It prefers moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soil and thrives in full sun to partial shade, where the golden colour is best. Hardy to H6, it's a superb specimen tree, providing year-round beauty and a dramatic splash of colour.
