Brewer Spruce

The Brewer Spruce is an exceptionally graceful and rare evergreen conifer, prized for its unique, long, pendulous curtain-like branchlets that cascade elegantly downwards from horizontal main branches. This creates a striking, broadly conical form, making it a spectacular specimen tree for sheltered, large UK gardens. It is a slow-growing species, eventually reaching an ultimate height of 15-25 metres with a spread of 5-8 metres. Its short, glossy dark green needles are held on the weeping shoots. This spruce thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained, acidic soils. It is fully hardy, rated H7 by the RHS, but benefits from protection from strong, drying winds. An RHS AGM holder, providing unparalleled elegance and year-round beauty.
