Giant Timber Bamboo

A very tall and vigorous bamboo, Phyllostachys vivax, commonly known as Giant Timber Bamboo, is prized for its impressive stature and thick, green canes which can develop an attractive yellowish hue with age. It forms an open clump and is excellent for creating a dramatic screen or a striking architectural feature in larger gardens.

Sun: Full sun to partial shade.

Soil: Moist, well-drained, fertile soil.

Hardiness: H5 — down to −15°C.
