Green Stem Bamboo

A robust, running bamboo valued for its exceptionally hardy nature and upright habit, with clean, dark green culms that are very straight and strong. It can reach an ultimate height of 5-8m and spreads vigorously if not contained. It is one of the hardiest running bamboos for the UK, rated H6, capable of enduring very cold winters. Flowering is very rare. It performs well in full sun to partial shade in a wide range of moist, well-drained soils, making it a versatile choice for screening or a windbreak.
