Silk Vine
Periploca graeca, also known as Silk Vine, is a vigorous deciduous climber that offers unusual appeal to the UK garden. It produces intriguing, star-shaped, greenish-yellow flowers with purple-brown centres during summer, followed by long, slender seed pods. Its twining stems quickly cover structures, and the glossy green foliage provides a dense screen. It's a robust and adaptable plant, tolerant of various soils and aspects, though it flowers best in a sunny position. An interesting choice for something a little different.
