Fringed Water Lily
Fringed Water Lily, also known as Yellow Floating Heart, is a charming aquatic perennial that naturalises beautifully in UK ponds. It features small, heart-shaped, mottled leaves that float on the water's surface, accompanied by bright yellow, fringed flowers from early summer into autumn. While it can be vigorous, its beauty and long flowering period make it a popular choice for larger ponds or contained areas. It thrives in still or slow-moving water, rooted in muddy bottoms at depths of 30-90cm, ideally in full sun. This plant adds vibrant colour and texture to the water garden.
