Water Lily 'Moorei'

Nymphaea 'Moorei' is a classic and highly regarded yellow water lily, often cited as one of the best for the UK climate due to its reliable flowering. It features beautiful, cup-shaped flowers that are a clear, buttery primrose yellow, complimented by a center of deeper yellow stamens. The blooms are approximately 10-12cm across. The foliage is particularly attractive, with olive-green leaves that are heavily mottled and marbled with deep maroon-brown when young, later maturing to a more uniform green with subtle speckling. 'Moorei' is a plant of moderate vigor, making it suitable for medium-sized ponds with a depth of 30-60cm. It is fully hardy (H5) and, like most lilies, requires a sunny, still position to thrive. This cultivar is prized for its elegance and the way its light yellow flowers brighten up the pond surface.
