Pink Water Lily 'Fireball'

'Fireball' is an exceptional water lily for the UK garden, specifically bred for its intense color and compact growth habit. It features striking, deep red to magenta blooms that are heavily petalled and globular in shape, resembling a floating peony. The centers are filled with bright orange-yellow stamens, providing a fiery contrast that justifies its name. One of its best traits is that it is free-flowering, often producing multiple blooms at once throughout the summer. The young leaves emerge with a dark purple tint before maturing to a rich, glossy green. It is relatively small for a hardy lily, making it perfect for smaller garden ponds or even large tub features, requiring a depth of only 30cm to 60cm. Like most lilies, it prefers still water and plenty of sunshine to perform at its best. It is extremely hardy and will return healthily each year if the transplant is kept below the frost line.
