Water Lily 'Joey Tomocik'
Nymphaea 'Joey Tomocik' is widely regarded as having one of the most vivid yellow blooms of any water lily hardy enough for the UK. The flowers are a striking, saturated lemon-yellow with an upright, star-like shape that holds itself several inches above the water surface. The blooms are large, reaching up to 15cm across, and are exceptionally prolific throughout the summer. The foliage is equally impressive, with large, bright green leaves that are heavily splashed with dark purple-maroon markings, providing a beautiful backdrop for the neon flowers. This cultivar is vigorous and best suited for medium to large ponds at a depth of 40-80cm. It is fully hardy (H5) and requires a full sun position to promote its intense flowering. It is an ideal choice for gardeners who want a high-impact, modern-looking water lily that performs reliably year after year.
